Why document the build?

The important work
often disappears.

Once a project is finished, much of the work that determines its long-term quality is no longer visible.

Reinforcement disappears inside concrete. Waterproofing sits beneath finishes. Electrical and plumbing systems are enclosed behind walls. Drainage is buried underground.

The Build Journal gives us a place to show those stages while they are still visible and explain why they matter.
